Centre for Minorities Research: Interdisciplinary online short course
The Centre for Minorities Research (CMR) is pleased to share the success of its first Centre-led interdisciplinary online course for professional development. Displacement and Humanitarian Intervention ran for two weeks, offering bespoke sessions delivered by twelve experts from the University of St Andrews. Sixteen participants from four countries attended praxis-based workshops, lectures, group work, interactive roleplay, and simulations. Engaging exchanges between speakers and participants made for a highly enjoyable experience for all. We can proudly say a community was created, and we hope to build on the success of the course for future years!
Testimonials
“The course provided me with lots of provoking thoughts about identities, imbalance of power, displacement, humanitarian intervention, and community responses, which have posed immense self-reflections on my practice”.

“The short course’s impact was very positive, and the content taught was very informative and interesting. Some would say that I just got out of the high-school bubble I lived in and started learning about the world around me. And that is partially true. I was familiar with many of the topics discussed; however, I had never elaborated more on any of them”.
