IEI Programme Director Kirsty Duff is one of the five winners of the university-wide teaching excellence award, recognising Kirsty’s outstanding commitment to student engagement and learning. MSc TESOL students winning two internationally recognised dissertation awards
Peter Bannister is the winner of BALEAP's (British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes) MA Award 2023. Peter's dissertation title is "Exploring the critical listening assessment conundrum on pre-sessional EAP programmes in Higher Education". Peter is supervised by Dr Mark Carver.
Mellidy Campbell-Lochrie is the winner of British Council's Master's Dissertation Award 22-23. Mellidy's dissertation title is "A socio-political and cultural driven analysis of the representations of protected characteristics in UK-produced ELT textbooks, through the lens of the Equality Act (2010)". Mellidy is supervised by Dr Amritesh Singh.
